The work programme of the project consists of three work packages.

Work Package 1 - DEVELOPMENT

November 2007 - September 2008

The main objective of WP1 is to develop the competence assessing questions/statements for the Competence Assessment Tools (CAT) system. Based on the decision by Partnership of the project we have chosen the following competence groups to develop into the web-based software:

Conflict-handling
Time-management, organisation
Problem-solving
Leading competence
Interpersonal efficiency
Self-managed learning
Autonomy and Responsibility-Awareness
Entrepreneurship

And these are the ones that were developed in the previous Leonardo da Vinci project, the one the FATCAT project is based on:

Teamwork
Project- and Team Management
Innovation - Creativity - Taking Risks
Customer Orientation
Managing of Learning Competences
Basic Communication
Intercultural Competence

Each competence group consists of several competences (or sub-competences), and this structure gives the basis of the Competence Assessment Tools system. The assessment sentences have been translated to all partner languages plus to English therefore the further developed CAT system is available in the following languages:

English, Hungarian, Dutch, French, Italian, Polish, Swedish, Slovenian

Each language translation of the competence assessment statements has been revised by a native expert to avoid cultural, national discrepancies, ambiguities, so that all the translations are correct and adequate for the environment is is meant to be for.

Work Package 2 - TESTING

October 2008 - February 2009

When all the test statements are ready to use, we test the operation of the CAT system to find all the errors concerning sortware operation, system running, wording, spelling, etc. For testing we involve both target groups of the project: vocational education institutions and business companies.

Work Package 3 - DISSEMINATION & VALORIZATION

March 2009 - October 2009

We prepare a presentation for the dissemination activities of the Partnership, soon it is going to be available on this website too.
The dissemination activity starts with introduction of CAT system to our own institutions. It is the first circle. In the second one we target our educational and business partners. Each partner prepares an information brochure for the vocational training institutions and one for business companies, and also one is going to be available in English.

The partners are going to give national conferences about the project result, the further developed Competence Assessment Tools system. They are to be held within WP3, times and locations will be published here soon!
